Clube de Padel — Global Project
Clube de Padel is the first club devoted exclusively to Padel in Portugal. Located in Lisbon, in the privileged riverside area in Alcantara, is a Club where you can learn how to play or simply play with friends, partners, business coleagues, family etc. It's a meeting point like sports clubs are.
Pacifica created the entire brand reflecting the shape and the colors of the fields wich is the most visible aspect on the space and allows to reinforce the social and leisure environment. The brand is based on the structure and shape of the fields in order to transmit the precision (by using guidelines) and the colors to transmit the joy of the game. As part of the applications Pacifica developed a specific typography to reinforce the uniqueness of the club and all the signage icons that orients the visitors. The visual universe is very consistente and playfull at the same time. The brand emerges as a playground on a top view and its applications stand to be far more dynamic than the logo showing a non static–identity wich is pretty expressive on the website, flyers, vouchers, flags and clothes.

35 FITEI — Global project
Pacifica seeks to develop every new edition of FITEI as a visual statement. This year we wanted to show an attitude of social responsibility.
We developed the image of the 35th FITEI
based on the following points:
- Maximum visibility and originality. To create a moment that persists for a year.
- Create a stimulating and flexible but consistent language.
- Budget limitations: only 2 colors print.
Concept
— The concept rises from the desconstruction of cheap and dispensable materials .
Plastic Bag
We chose the plastic bag as the main material.
It is an analogy with current cultural Portuguese situation (no fundings, “cheap” culture) and the way culture unfortuantely tends to be undervalued and treated like a futility.
- "Empty bag" or "full bag” - popular expression that suits the intellectually intervention about the state of mind.
Black Border
— The black border used to enphasize “bad news” on funeral letters or mourning states. This expression - the black border reinforces the serious message that FITEI and portuguese culture will mourn.
Execution
The plastic bag was explored throughout the communication materials including silkscreen and stamping, highlighting the plasticity and empowering the message.
Real Mupi
We build a full scale structure with the use of glass, plastic bags and fans that created a dynamic visual composition. The unpredictable behavior of the bag was photographed in many perspectives.

Ginger & Jagger
Ginger & Jagger is a contemporary brand that answers the demand for a product differentiator, with an intense and passionate personality in the field of furniture design, taking as its starting point the dichotomy nature / sophistication.
Main Concept
Opposite and complementary
Natural / Upscale
Soft / Rough
Fashion / Differentiator
Trend / Arrojo
Pure / Transformed
The new brand is for those looking for novelty, for those who prefer originality, unique.
"The new brand is not for boring people."
Materialization
The main idea was to unite two forces that separately have their own personality and characteristics and when together become one and in perfect shape. The whole becomes much stronger than the sum of its parts and therefore Ginger & Jagger is a brand where two universes come together to create one that is unique and special. The brand was developed in its main version and also a monogram version, which is an alternative summary of the main brand, that is applied in environments as reinforcement of the brand or visualization of Ginger & Jagger product or material. In conjunction with the brand identity, shapes and textures were created that arise from the interpretation of the form so the trademark symbol create additional graphics that complement the brand universe. The colors chosen are based on natural elements and, by opposition, metallic and gold colors.

OFFF, Oeiras — Daily News
The OFFF has transcended its own kind of festival to become synonymous of modernity, aesthetics and technology.
The mission of OFFF is spreading the work of a generation of avant-garde designers who dictate new boundaries. Artists that mixes the arena of commercial art and design, from music to illustration, ink or chalk to the pixel. Artists that have grown with the web and receive inspiration from digital tools, even when their work is not exclusively that.
The Project
OFFF invited us to create, develop and implement the OFFF Daily News.
The newspaper had three editions that would contain the daily schedule of the event.
The Daily News had interviews, highlights, schedule of the portfolio area / work sample and daily presentation of elements of Staff OFFF.
The challenge would be create, browse and embed a content about the each day preceding, in a genre almost real time, where the pressure and the timing would have to be friends of the moment.
The Concept
For the Daily News we create a singular and unique project. A newspaper with three numbers where each number would have its own and distinctive personality.
Printing
We established a collaboration with typographer Hugo d'Alte (Underware, Xbold) for the use of three printers with different characteristics: Kaas, Kiosk, Rolland.
Each typography would be used and worked on every edition of the Journal. The Daily News would be designed according to each font, having an a method of cause and effect on the grid and paging.
Another reason the partnership would be enhancing the contribution of a Portuguese typographer and to show their work to the public from OFFF.
For printing text, we chose to Utopia by Robert Slimbach for Adobe.
Color
Each of the editions of the Daily News was created with a different gamut. This feature would help in the differentiation of different days and issues. The colors chosen were:
- Daily News Day 1 - Green Billiards
- Daily News Day 2 - Eggplant
- Daily News Day 3 - Pale Pink
illustration
Each cover of the daily editions of the Journal would have an exclusive illustration. Each cover would have a very expressive and marked expression with prominent designer of programming. The use of "analog" and "gestual" illustration function as emphasis to the actual topic of the manual OFFF, Fail Gracefully.
In this era increasingly digital and when the discussion is all about the future, why not the starting point be the manual and human? That was the metaphor for our approach.
Support
OFFF with the Daily News created a partnership, where the Diário de Noticias (Portuguese major daily jornal) exclusively produce and distribute the OFFF Daily News and in that way associate its name to the event.
This would be done in two ways, in the event itself held at Foundry Oeiras (on days 08, 09, June 10, 2009) and through a booklet would be distributed along inserted with the DN for the general public.
The insert has a daily run circulation of 45,000 copies.

Rua Aberta — Open Street Event
The LxFactory born in the space of the former Spinning and Fabric Company Lisbonense nineteenth century, next to Largo do Calvário in Alcantara, and became, in a short time, an island in the creative city. With about 120 companies and commercial spaces installed, is now a must to visit.
Once a year, all businesses open their doors for an Open Day, which ends in a big party. The website of Rua de Baixo (http://www.ruadebaixo.com) was invited to organize a special party that unites art, design and a showcase of music bands.
Pacifica's has developed the creative concept and the Programme for the event "Rua Aberta" na Lx Factory.
The name of the party "Rua Aberta" (Open Street) was the basis for the whole concept of photography. We use tape used to block streets as scenic element for the entire session.
The photographs were used in all parts of the communication event, such as: Poster, Booklet, Flyer and eMailing.
